Unfortunately Sky Digital does go wrong from time to time. The boxes can and do overheat. The cost to replace this box is up to £249. There are problems with the LNB on the dish, which are usually due to weather conditions. To replace a LNB would normally cost £130. (SKY charge £65 +VAT just to knock at the door).
You may have recently seen on television the BBC Watchdog programme. Where customers who have had SKY+ installed at their home, have had numerous problems with their SKY+ box and have had too wait up to two weeks to have their problems resolved, and in some cases had up to seven replacement boxes.
